What I'm reading. AI makes it too easy to make porn.

On Monday, state Sen. April Weaver pre-filed a bill that would add images or video made using artificial intelligence or “deepfake” technology to the State's current laws prohibiting child pornography.

The process of "deepfaking," or taking existing images of someone to produce false (and often pornographic) visual content that they did not participate in or consent to producing, is most often associated with celebrities. Still, its impact on children has increased as the tech has advanced.

Weaver was prompted to push for the bill after students at a middle school in Demopolis created pornographic images of a female classmate by uploading pictures of her to a website that utilizes artificial intelligence.

I can't imagine being a women and having this happen to me, much less a middle school girl.

I also can't imagine any ways we could stop this from happening. It's like trying to ban photoshop.
